Originally released in 1849 in Nagoya by publisher Eirakuya Tōshirō. This is a later edition of superb print quality released in 1877 by Tokyo publisher Yoshikawa Hanshichi who purchased the blocks from Eirakuya Tōshirō.

The full contents of the first edition of Volume 13 of the Hokusai manga are shown in the book by Forrer (2014) containing photographic reproductions of all fifteen Hokusai manga volumes, including explanations of each image in French.
